Assessment 2 – Evidence of a Manager in Practice
Case Scenario
As the pharmacist manager, you are responsible for setting up a new dermatological clinic in your busy community pharmacy. In setting up this this new service, you realise that you will need to increase your range of products.
One of the products you decide upon, is a new Pharmacy Only (Schedule 2) product. This is a special formulation and has been tested in clinical trials and proven to help reverse sun damage, and reduce pigmentation associated with acne scarring and birthmarks.
BetaPharm is the supplier you have dealt with for many years, and DeltaPharm is a new company that has approached you after hearing that you are setting up this new dermatological clinic. Both companies are offering different brands of the product containing the same active ingredient.
